I'm Jamie McDonnell — a Senior UI/UX Designer and Full-Stack Developer based in Prague. I've spent the past few years working hands-on with AI as it's transformed the way businesses operate. Before that, I spent decades building digital brands for startups, agencies, and global names like Monster.com, AVG, and the NHS. That experience is what makes my AI advice practical, not theoretical — I know what works because I've been building things for a very long time.
Why I started this consultancy
When AI coding tools like Claude and Cursor hit the mainstream, something clicked. Tasks that used to take me days were done in hours. Entire applications were built in a fraction of the time. My experience building for web and mobile didn't become obsolete — it became supercharged.

First Steps in Design
Started out at Oasis Graphic, an exhibition and signage design and build shop in High Wycombe, England — getting hands-on with visual design from day one.
Digital Graphic Design NVQ
Studied Digital Graphic Design at Reading Art College in Reading, Berkshire — an early move into the digital side of the industry.
Interaction Design Degree
Headed to Cumbria Institute of the Arts in Carlisle, England to study Interaction Design. Started building websites when CSS was barely a thing.
Agency & Enterprise
Designed and built digital products for Monster.com, AVG Technologies, the NHS, and dozens of startups and agencies.
Freelance Consultant
Went independent. Built a Top Rated reputation on Upwork with a 5.0 rating across 100+ projects worldwide.
